I was at work when I got the call from my brother Jerry. I'm the oldest of the children and usally pretty tough as far things like this go but we had seen Jan, Don and Talena in October and she seemed to be doing so well that I was shocked and in disbelief. I'm not a religious person but I believe in my heart that on December 3,2004 God added a beautiful angel to His heavenly choir.Talena will be deeply missed by all of us.

The past several days, like the past several months, Talena is always on my mind. She is, without doubt, the most beautiful girl I've ever known. I have always been so proud of her spirit and independence. Her artistic ability with flowers. And the goofy things she used to do. She was very special to her Uncle Moe too. She just had a live and let live personality. Fun to be with. She could always make you smile. And that's what really counts, isn't it?

Several of my friends have visited the site and have sent their condolences to the family. Because they did not leave their comments here - on the site - I've decided to post them as I receive them so that they can be shared with all.

I am so sorry to hear about Talena. You and your family must feel so bad after all she has been through - and her parents too. Hope that your sister and her husband make it through this okay. I will say a prayer for them and you and the rest of your family.
